Baby Banksia Delivers its First Film the Hard Way
by CHRISTINE YOUNG
Independent feature film Five Moments of Infidelity is currently the
best kept secret in Australian cinema. Despite winning best film at
DigiSPAA over a year ago, the film has not yet been distributed in
Australia and is more than likely to have its first general release in
New Zealand. DigiSPAA is the Screen Producers Association of
Australia’s inaugural film awards competition so it’s a
peer-based accolade.

12 August 2005 -
Five Moments of Infidelity was judged the outright winner of the
inaugural digiSPAA ’05. Antony I. Ginnane, president of IFM World
Releasing Inc, made the official announcement at the close of SPAA
Fringe today.
An
Industry panel comprising Antony I. Ginnane, producer-director Kate
Woods, producer-director Daniel Scharf and the managing director of
Magna Pacific, Leon Coningham were on hand to award the prize (return
airfares and accommodation to Rotterdam Cinemart 2006) to producer Don
Linke.
'The
standard of digiSPAA films was extremely high — both commercially
and creatively,' commented Ginnane. 'I predict a great future for the
producers and directors associated with these projects.'
